What it is
Laser tattoo removal breaks ink pigment into fragments small enough for the body to clear over the following weeks. Our clinic runs two medical-grade lasers dedicated to tattoo and pigment work, including on semi-permanent makeup such as microbladed brows.
Who it's for
For anyone with a tattoo that no longer fits, an ex's name, a rushed choice, a saturated cover-up that needs lightening, or semi-permanent brows that have turned the wrong colour. Also for anyone who simply changed their mind and is done explaining it.
When to book it
Book once the tattoo is fully healed (usually 6+ weeks after being placed) and you have decided you want it faded or removed. Avoid strong sun and sunbeds for two weeks either side of each session, and space sessions 6–8 weeks apart so the body has time to clear the ink.
Why go professional
Home creams and DIY salt scrubbing do not remove ink, they scar. Getting removal right needs correct wavelengths for the ink colour, correct energy for your skin, and someone who will actually stop if your skin is telling them to. That is a clinical job, not a beauty add-on.

Tattoo removal is a slow, technical process, anyone promising you clearance in two sessions is either selling you something or hurting you.
The lasers we use
Rollo House operates two medical-grade lasers dedicated to tattoo and pigment removal. Different wavelengths target different ink colours, which is why one-size-fits-all cheap laser rarely clears colour tattoos evenly.
What we treat
Small tattoos (roughly the size of a matchbook or smaller). Medium tattoos (up to roughly the size of a phone). Semi-permanent makeup, brows most commonly, occasionally lip line or eyeliner (only where safe). Old amateur ink that has faded unevenly and needs lightening for a cover-up. Unwanted areas of a larger piece, targeted lightening rather than full clearance.
Sessions and spacing
Most tattoos need 6–12 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Old, small, single-ink pieces sit at the lower end; large, dense, multi-colour pieces at the higher end. We photograph and note every session so progress is measurable, not just remembered.
Ink colours and realism
Black and dark blue ink clear most predictably. Reds and oranges take longer. Yellows, whites and pastel greens are the hardest and, occasionally, do not fully clear. We tell you this at consultation rather than after you have paid for six sessions.
Fading for a cover-up
If your goal is a cover-up rather than full removal, you typically need fewer sessions, often 3–5, to bring the existing tattoo down enough for your artist to work confidently over it. We are happy to liaise with the artist if it helps them plan.
Aftercare that actually matters
Keep the area dry and covered for 24 hours. No hot showers, swimming, saunas or heavy exercise for 48 hours. No sun or fake tan on the area between sessions. Moisturise as directed. Full written instructions go home with you at every session.

How many sessions will I need?+
Most tattoos need 6–12 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Older, smaller, single-colour tattoos usually need fewer. Larger, denser, multi-colour tattoos usually need more. You will get a realistic estimate at consultation.
Does it hurt?+
Sensation is often compared to a hot rubber band flick. Most clients tolerate it well; small tattoos are over in minutes. We use cooling throughout.
Can you remove semi-permanent makeup brows?+
Yes. Semi-permanent makeup removal is priced at £90 per session and requires the same £20 patch test. We treat gently around the eye area.
Can I get removal if I only want to fade the tattoo for a cover-up?+
Absolutely, cover-up fading usually needs fewer sessions than full removal. Tell us your goal at consultation and we will plan around it.
Are there guarantees for full removal?+
No honest clinic will guarantee 100% clearance because it depends on ink type, colour, age and your skin. We commit to correct settings, clear progress photos and honest advice.
What about scarring?+
Correctly delivered medical-grade laser rarely scars. Aftercare compliance is the biggest single factor, we send written aftercare with every session.
