Rollo House is an independent hair removal and skincare clinic in Longniddry, East Lothian, run by Alexa Rollo, a qualified beauty therapist since 1988. Every treatment happens in a private room, at a pace that respects the person on the bed.
Our story
We built Rollo House for the person who has walked out of somewhere else feeling smaller.
Rollo House is the second chapter of a career that began in 1988. Alexa Rollo qualified as a beauty therapist that year, went on to complete a Level 4 Beauty Therapy qualification and an HND, and has been practising electrolysis ever since.
The clinic serves people who want laser hair removal, tattoo removal, electrolysis, intimate waxing, facials and body treatments delivered without the small-talk pressure of a spa or the sterile feel of a medical office. Clients travel to us from across East Lothian, Longniddry, Haddington, North Berwick, Musselburgh, Tranent, Prestonpans, Dunbar, Gullane and Pencaitland, because word of mouth is our main referrer, and always has been.

Quality standards
Our building holds full HIS registration. Alexa is Level 4 Beauty Therapy qualified. We use four medical-grade hair removal lasers, one medical-grade skin laser, two medical-grade tattoo removal lasers and the Apilus Epilase electrolysis machine, chosen because they let us treat more skin tones and more hair types honestly.
Our philosophy
Come as you are. We don't judge grooming, weight, or body hair, and we don't upsell. If a treatment isn't right for you, we'll say so.
How we work
Private rooms. Unhurried consultations. Patch tests where required before your first laser session. Written plans with real numbers, sessions, spacing, cost, so nothing is a surprise.
What we promise
We are fully insured through Insync. We only recommend the sessions we believe you actually need. If something isn't working, we adjust the plan, or refer you on, rather than keep taking bookings.

The culture here is welcoming, chatty and a little bit quirky. Several of the team are parents, and one of our practitioners came to beauty therapy from a pharmacy background, having previously worked in drug rehabilitation, which shows in how carefully she reads what a client actually needs. They are people who genuinely care, not professionals going through the motions.
Team photos in the new salon will replace initials once available. We do not use stock imagery for our people.
